SAQCC 1475 Accredited Fire Technician
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SAQCC 1475 Accredited Fire Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire portable fire fighting equipment.. This role requires a strong understanding of fire safety regulations and the ability to provide excellent service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of portable fire fighting equipment.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on fire safety equipment.
- Identify and resolve any issues with fire safety systems.
- Complete detailed reports on inspections, tests, and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant SAQCC regulations and standards.
- Provide excellent customer service and support.
- Train clients on the proper use and maintenance of fire safety equipment.
- Respond to emergency calls and address fire safety issues promptly.
Qualifications
- SAQCC Accreditation as a 1475 Fire Technician.
- Proven experience in the inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire safety systems.
- Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license.

- Technical Skills: Proficient in inspecting, testing, maintaining, and repairing fire portable fire fighting equipment.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough understanding of SAQCC regulations and standards.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues with fire safety systems.

- Customer Service: Strong customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Computer literate. (Google workspace, Odoo ERP is a bonus)
Work Environment
- Fieldwork involving travel to various client sites.

- May require working at heights or in confined spaces.
- Occasional after-hours or emergency call-outs.
